  • Hail St. Joseph

ALL: Hail St. Joseph, Patron of Canada

Protector and guardian of our beloved homeland.  Keep under your sovereign patronage, in this hour of crisis, the unity, the faith and integrity of your children, the Canadian people, from sea to sea to sea. Amen.

  • Invocation to scatter the enemies of God

ALL Let God arise, let His foes be scattered. Let those who hate Him flee before Him. As smoke is blown away so will they be blown away. Like wax that melts before the fire, so the wicked shall perish in the presence of God. And the demons shall vanish before the countenance of those who love God and sign themselves with the Sign of the Cross. Let the just rejoice proclaiming: Rejoice O most precious and life giving Cross of Our Lord, for you cast out the demons by the power of Our Lord Jesus Christ Who was nailed upon you and Who descended to sheol and overcame the power of the devil, giving to us His most Precious Cross to overcome every adversary. O most precious and life-giving Cross of the Lord, assist me together with the Holy Virgin and Mother of God, the Theotokos, and all the saints now and forever”. Amen.

  • Short Reflection
  • Hymn: Hail, Queen of Heaven

Hail, Queen of heav’n, the ocean star,

Guide of the wand’rer here below;
Thrown on life’s surge, we claim thy care:
Save us from peril and from woe.

Mother of Christ, O Star of the sea,
Pray for the wanderer, pray for me.
O gentle, chaste, and spotless Maid,
We sinners make our prayers through thee;
Remind thy Son that He has paid
The price of our iniquity.

Virgin most pure, O star of the sea,
Pray for the sinner, pray for me.
And while to Him Who reigns above
In Godhead one, in Persons three,
The Source of life, of grace, of love,
Homage we pay on bended knee:

Do thou, bright Queen, O star of the sea,
Pray for thy children, pray for me.
